Trophy of Life | Rendering Hope & Encouragement

Our Vision

To bring hope, encouragement and motivate individuals as they re-engage in life after experiencing the overwhelming, adverse vicissitudes of life. We are their beacon to a brighter future. Trophy of Life (TOL) was birthed out of the need to fulfill purpose in the earth. No longer can we be happy and complacent with our personal happiness and success while others live their lives in a state of hopelessness. Life consists of more than me, myself and I, we need each other! I (TOL) have LIFE for you. As such, we are compelled to devise a plan of action as to how we can support individuals to create a positive outlook on life. Thus, Trophy of Life, Inc. was organized to identify and celebrate individuals in need of hope and encouragement. To our dismay, an alarming level of dysfunction exudes from the news, society, family, the economy, our youth, and business structures, to name a few; however we must make a difference.

I am a “Trophy of Life” and so are you…..

I am the fifth of six children born to the late James and Hattie Stanley on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I was blessed to be married to the late Gordon Wheatley for 33 years, and from this union, we were blessed with two wonderful sons, Craig and Brian.

Our family also includes four grandchildren, Taliah, Tamarion, Tiana and CJ; My love is also shared with a special young lady, Annie, who is my daughter from another mother.

My spiritual foundation, guidance and nurturing was instilled under the tutelage of my mother and former pastor, the late Rev. Hattie Stanley at Refuge Temple Church of God in Cambridge, MD.

I currently serve as an Elder in the Lord’s church where Bishop Gregory and Pastor Tonya Dennis are the senior pastors. I am also grateful to Archbishop Ralph L. Dennis and Elder Deborah S. Dennis for their great leadership and guidance.

My mother was a great African American woman of honor who received great fulfillment from encouraging and helping others. TODAY, I, as in the likeness of my mother, and in fulfillment of my purpose, desire to render hope, encouragement, and uplift the spirit of individuals by any means necessary.

The utmost purpose in my life is to optimize my God commissioned purpose via Trophy of Life.

Community Involvement Programs

The overall task of Trophy of Life, Inc. is absolutely enormous, yet achievable. Realizing its great magnitude of operation – we need your support!

Through the combined efforts of our Board of Directors, businesses, community organizations, non-profit organizations, family, friends, co-workers, and others, we must make an impact on society as we render hope and encouragement to mankind.

Immeasurable Investments

Students entering the 9th grade, participating through the 12th grade.

Immeasurable Investments is an empowering program where students beginning in the 9th grade will meet and interact with adult professionals who have completed multi levels of education. These adults will contact participating students at a minimum of once per month to monitor their progress and to render encouragement to soar in their educational endeavors.

The program will allow the students to interact with adults with a consistent level of hope and encouragement as they pursue their education.

Soup for the Homeless

During the winter months we connect with other organizations to provide soup to the homeless. You may contact us to assist in this act of kindness. You may also contact us to connect with your network as you serve this group.

A Widow's Invite - Tea, Chat & Chew

A gathering of widows and widowers for a time of relaxation, conversation, fun, laughter, and good food.

Celebration of Survival

A night of CELEBRATION! We strategically select approximately 12 individuals who have overcome, persevered, and SURVIVED some of the most abysmal and unfavorable situations in life. We celebrate their survival providing hope and encouragement for a brighter tomorrow.
